Love Island star Anton Danyluk confesses it’s ‘hard to be friends’ with ex Belle Hassan – EXCLUSIVE

Anton Danyluk has opened up on his feelings towards ex girlfriend Belle Hassan.

The 24 year old, who recently launched his own fitness app, revealed that while he's managed to be friends with the make up artist, it hasn't been an easy process.

Speaking exclusively to OK! Online, he explained: "Myself and Belle still very much keep in touch in terms of we've been on night's out together.

"We went through a stage there where we were speaking pretty much every day, but I think with an ex that delves into pretty dangerous territory and you then start speaking a little bit more… I think it's hard to be friends with an ex."

Anton, who recently showed off his massive bulge in a steamy mirror selfie, went on to reveal that Belle and himself decided to be just friends at the end of 2019.

The Scottish star continued: "We decided at the end of the year that look we're very much friends, we talk to each other, we see each other but it's not healthy for us to talk to each other every single day."

"When you break up with an ex, feelings can come back. It's just hard, isn't it," he added, insisting: "We didn't fall out or anything like that."

When asked whether he's found a new love interest in his life since Belle, he explained he simply doesn't have time to date as he said: "I'm a 100 per cent single at the moment. I've just been so busy with my app.

"There's girls I've been speaking to, but I've been so engrossed in my app that I haven't had time for it."

It comes as Anton recently revealed he's quit drinking after he realised he got a little carried away with the "celebrity lifestyle" after leaving the Love Island villa last summer.

"I've made it my goal to not drink for the first six months of the year, which is no problem when I'm right into it," he said.

Explaining why he decided to make the lifestyle change, he said he "drank a little more" than he usually did after appearing on the hit dating show.

Anton, who was recently spotted cosying up to Anna Vakili's sister Mandi, said: "Yeah, I did drink a little bit more than normal, to be honest I never really was a big drinker but just with the celebrity lifestyle I lost my way a little bit."

While he admitted that he may have gotten a bit carried away with the fame, he doesn't think he should feel bad about it.

He said: "I think that's absolutely normal because you come out in a bit of a whirlwind. I think I was entitled to enjoy it a little bit. But, I very much have my head screwed down now, working hard again."

The reality star added: "I drank a little bit more than I should, but when it came to about November time, with my app launching, I realised I needed to get back to what I wanted to do. I went back to the gym and started training hard again."
