Katy Perry was spotted at the LA opening of Broadway hit “Dear Evan Hansen,” which launched the show’s nearly sold out US tour.
A source said Perry, in a sequined gown at the Ahmanson Theatre, brought some glamour to the event as her frock “looked like the 1977 Oscars dress worn by Lee Remick,” said a Hollywood vet.
At an after-party, “This Is Us” star Chrissy Metz “tore up the dance floor until 1 a.m.,” a spy said.
Joining Maya Rudolph at the bash were “Dear Evan Hansen’s” Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, who won the Tony for the score, the show’s Tony-winning book writer, Steven Levenson, director Michael Greif and producer Stacey Mindich.
