Kate Winslet looks stylish in white suit and nude top for Vogue World

BAFTAS: Kate Winslet makes emotional speech after best actress win

Kate Winslet looked impeccable in an all-white ensemble as she attended the 2023 Vogue World show in London on Thursday.

The Titanic actress graced the red carpet with a stylish suit made up of flared trousers and a smart blazer.

Winslet kept the look casual for the event – which was held at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane – by wearing a nude lingerie-style top under the oversized ensemble.

The 47-year-old Hollywood actress was one of many A-list stars in town for the launch of London Fashion Week, which saw appearances from Cara Delevingne, Rita Ora and Winnie Harlow.

She elevated the casual look by accessorising it with dainty droplet earrings and pairing it with white pointed heels.

Winslet adopted a bronzed makeup look, which she teamed wit a light smokey eye and a peach lip, while her blonde tresses were styled in waves.

The movie star’s appearance comes after she candidly admitted that she refuses to shy away from nudity on screen, despite criticism in the past.

Speaking to Vogue, she said as she seemingly referred to working on 1997’s Titanic: “I think it probably stems from having been subjected to the most awful scrutiny and judgment, and, actually, I would go so far as to say bullying, from mainstream media when I was in my 20s.

“I was consistently told I was in the wrong shape. I was consistently told I would have to settle for less.

“I know better than to waste precious energy on criticising my physical self. I think any woman is better off just saying: I believe in myself.

“It doesn’t matter what other people think; this is who I am — let’s get on with it.”

Kate has also spoken out about being “patronised” by male executives when trying to raise funds for the biopic, Lee.

In the interview, Kate explained the “unbelievably outraging” process of getting the film financed, leading to “patronising” meetings with executives.

She recalled: “I’ve even had a director say to me: ‘Listen, you do my film and I’ll get your little Lee funded…’ Little!

“Or we’d have potential male investors saying things like: ‘Tell me, why am I supposed to like this woman?'”
