Lila Moss is the new face of a major beauty campaign.
Following in mom (and manager) Kate Moss’ footsteps, the 16-year-old stars in Marc Jacobs Beauty’s latest campaign. The brand announced the news on Thursday via Instagram with a photo of the young model wearing dramatic purple eyeliner.
The designer himself shared the same image, along with a sentimental caption. “Lila’s beauty, composure, patience and kindness made this project even more special than I could have imagined,” Jacobs wrote.
Jacobs recalled meeting Lila for the first time when she was just six years old, and called Kate Moss his “lifelong friend.” He also said that working with the iconic model’s lookalike daughter was “surreal.”
“When Lila came to NYC to work with us in July to be the face of our latest beauty campaign it felt a bit like an intersection of my personal and professional life coming full circle as we gathered in the studio,” he wrote.
The designer is famous for giving celebrity offspring their big breaks in the style business: Marc Jacobs Beauty cast Kaia Gerber in her first campaign when she was 15, and Kendall Jenner made her foray into high fashion on the Marc Jacobs runway in 2014.
