Maybe because we’re all bored at home right now (and if you’re not isolating then I suggest you get on it ASAP), Kate Middleton and Prince William decided to give the world a rare peek into the parts of Kensington Palace that aren’t open to the public, AKA their private offices.
Earlier today, the royal couple shared a few photos of themselves working in their office, and yes, William has a bulky printer on his desk just like the rest of us (even though his desk is in front of a fancy-looking marble fireplace). Kate and Will actually posted the photos to raise awareness about the work that they’re doing with mental health organizations during this “difficult” time, and not because they somehow knew that I’ve been wanting to see how their official residence was decorated.

Self-isolation and social distancing can pose huge challenges to our mental health — in recent weeks The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been in regular contact with organisations and patronages to understand the issues they are facing during this difficult time. Last week ☎️ The Duke spoke to @mindcharity CEO Paul Farmer, and The Duchess spoke to Catherine Roche, CEO of @_place2be. Today Public Health England has published new guidance to help support people during the COVID-19 outbreak, and updated its world-leading Every Mind Matters platform, with specific advice on maintaining good mental wellbeing during the outbreak; take a look at our Story or visit the link in our bio 📱 to find out more. Speaking about the new guidance, The Duke and Duchess said: • “It is great to see the mental health sector working together with the NHS to help people keep on top of their mental well-being. • By pulling together and taking simple steps each day, we can all be better prepared for the times ahead”. • The Government has also announced a grant for @MindCharity to help fund their services for people struggling with their mental wellbeing during this time.
In the caption, Kate and Will mention that the photos were taken last week, which is before the royal couple and their kids were self-isolating at Anmer Hall, their residence in Norfolk. The royal family is isolating separately during the pandemic, with the Queen living with “skeleton staff of just eight,” Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla at their home in Scotland, and Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, and baby Archie all the way in Los Angeles.
And if you haven’t been following @kensingtonroyal on Insta, I highly suggest that you do so, cause Kate and Will also shared a new video of George, Charlotte, and Louis a few days ago, and little Louis is too cute:
