Kate Ferdinand has posted a sweet snap of her newborn daughter, Shae, on social media.
The former The Only Way Is Essex star announced she and her husband, Rio Ferdinand, 44, had welcomed their first daughter into the world earlier this month.
In a new Instagram post, Kate, 32, shared a picture of herself and Shae tucked up in bed.
The mum-of-two, who is also the step-mum to Rio’s three children, was wearing a black vest top and had her blonde locks scraped back into a high bun.
Kate, who was kissing her newborn child in the picture, opened up about how “grateful” she was on the anniversary of her devastating miscarriage.

In the caption of the picture she shared with her 1.4 million followers, she wrote: “22.7.22. This day last year we went for our 12 week scan and realised I’d had a miscarriage.
“The pain was numbing I honestly didn’t know how I’d cope,” she continued.
Fast forward 12 months and Kate said she was “feeling so lucky” for her current situation.
Kate wrote: “22.7.23. I’m feeding my beautiful 12 day old baby girl Shae.
“Although I’m tired & hormonal as I sit here now I couldn’t be more grateful, feeling so lucky, what a special gift new life is, the most precious ever.”

She then ended the reflective post by saying: “Thank you universe. So much can change in a year, for anyone who may be struggling try & hold on to the hope.”
Famous faces and fans have come out in their droves to congratulate Kate on her inspiring post and send their love.
TOWIE’s Lydia Bright’s mother, Debbie Bright wrote: “You are the best mummy ever. The whole family will be blessed.”
Author and nutritionist Charlotte Stirling-Reed said: “Gorgeous. Sending so much love.”
Georgia Kousoulou, who opened up about her miscarriage in April, said: “Needed this today thank you.”
Elsewhere, a fan of Kate’s wrote: “Wow how amazing, enjoy every second of your precious baby bubble. Welcome to the world (sic) what a lucky young lady you are xx.”
Fans have also been inspired to share their own story of miscarriage and spread hope in the post’s comments section.
They wrote: “I went to register the birth and death of our daughter on 7/1/20 and welcomed her sister on 7/1/21. It’s funny how the universe sends these gifts to heal.”
A second said: “Nine years ago today my son was stillborn, the pain ripped me into pieces and made me incredibly strong all at the same time.
“One year later he sent his little sister to us to help us heal. I know how you are feeling and I just want to send you all my love today.”
