Holly Willoughby ‘should and will’ leave This Morning says Kim Woodburn

Kim Woodburn, 81, has claimed that she “doesn’t feel sorry” for former This Morning host Phillip Schofield, 61, and has urged Holly Willoughby, 42, to quit the show in the wake of recent scandal.

Last weekend, Phillip stepped down from the ITV programme after 20 years and exited without an on-screen farewell.

It’s thought that his exit – ushered in with “immediate effect” – came from a reported “feud” between himself and Holly.

Since then, however, he has left ITV altogether after confessing to having a relationship with a younger man who used to work on the daytime show.

Following the revelation, Holly issued a statement via her Instagram stories relating to the situation.

She wrote: “It’s taken time to process yesterday’s news. When reports of this relationship first surfaced, I asked Phil directly if this was true and was told it was not.

“It’s been very hurtful to now find out that this was a lie. Holly”.

Since then, TV personalities such as Eamonn Holmes and Woodburn have come out to condemn the ex-ITV star.

Discussing the headlines, Kim has now told Gaydio that she “didn’t feel sorry” for the former TV host and that she believed he’d been in the job for far “too long”.

She told a presenter at an event in Birmingham: “Give [the This Morning job] to somebody else who is nice and friendly.“

When somebody is rude and nasty and vicious, which he’s been with me, I can’t feel sorry for him.”

After making the scathing comments, the ‘Queen of Clean’ turned her attention to Holly and suggested it was time she left the This Morning set, too.

She claimed: “I don’t think she will have a choice. She isn’t as nice as she makes out.

“When [Schofield] is being rude to people she never once told him he was being nasty and she lets him do it and she aids and abets him.”

Kim added: “I think she should go, and I think she will go.”

Speaking about her personal experience with Phillip on the show, Woodburn claimed that he was “ruling the roost” and wasn’t “very pleasant” to deal with.

She said: “You could tell he was king on that show. I mean, he was really ruling the roost. And whenever I’ve been on with him, he hasn’t been very pleasant.

“He wasn’t very pleasant about my experience on Big Brother,” she added.

“He was downright nasty. He was sniggering at me.”

Earlier this month, Kim appeared on GB News to discuss her opinions on both Phillip and Holly.
