Heather Locklear is still in the hospital since she was forced into treatment on a 5150 hold following a weekend from hell at her Los Angeles area home Nov. 18.
11 days after her latest meltdown, the deeply troubled star is getting the help she desperately needs, a source told RadarOnline.com exclusively.
“She was supposed to go to rehab again, but there was a change of plan,” said the insider.

The 57-year-old is currently under the watchful eye of doctors about 20 miles from her home in Westlake Village, CA.
And after her hospital stay, rehab could be next.
“They have a psychiatric program at the hospital and she’s being evaluated. Then her next steps will be decided,” said the source.
“The hospital is the best place for her right now. Rehab is not what she needs at this point in time.”

As Radar reported, the actress was placed on a 5250, which allows an officer or clinician to confine a patient with mental disorders to the hospital for two weeks after an initial 72-hour 5150 hold.
In the hours before her most recent rush to the hospital for a psychiatric emergency, Locklear was in a disturbing state that left her family and friends terrified.
The nightmare weekend consisted of the fallen star reeking of booze from downing tequila, locking herself in her bedroom with her dog, and running around in a thong and tank top.

Even more frightening, the former Melrose Place beauty had been threatening suicide, claimed a source. She was also refusing to bathe, she was picking her skin, and she was speaking in strange, “evil” voices, said the informant.
Locklear was last hospitalized in June after she allegedly attacked a cop and an EMT. She was rushed to treatment but released in October just in time to celebrate her daughter Ava’s 21st birthday.
The former Melrose Place star still faces eight misdemeanor charges related to her two latest arrests, to which she has pleaded not guilty.
