She’s taking on the role of eldest sister Meg March in Greta Gerwig’s adaptation of Little Women and Emma Watson was pictured on set of the movie for the first time on Sunday. 

The 28-year-old looked resplendent in period costume, wearing a full blue skirt and a tweed jacket with a blue ribbon tied around the waist. 

She carried a large carpet bag in one hand and her brunette locks were tied up in a simple ponytail.

Emma is a huge star after famously playing Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter franchise. She also played Belle in the Beauty And The Beast movie.

Meanwhile, Gerwig’s next directorial feat comes hot on the heels of her successful movie offering, Lady Bird. 

The film was her directorial debut and was nominated for five Oscars.
