Known for his shaggy, shoulder-length style hairdo, the Duck Commander CEO pays a visit to the barber for the first time in 17 years to get himself a post-quarantine makeover.
AceShowbiz –Willie Robertson is having a good laugh from his brand new look. The cast member of “Duck Dynasty” got rid of his shaggy, shoulder-length style hairdo for the first time in over 15 years post-coronavirus quarantine, and decided to document how members of his family reacted to the major transformation.
On Tuesday, June 9, the 48-year-old son of Phil Robertson shared with his fans an Instagram video titled “Hair Cut Transformations & Reactions”. Along with the three-and-a-half minute clip, he wrote in the caption, “Everyone else is going back to the barber, I figured I should try it too. #17years.”
The video itself began with Willie sitting inside a barber shop, getting his long locks buzzed short by a hairstylist. As he watched his hair falling to the floor, the Louisiana resident quipped, “I feel myself getting weaker.” He went on to throw another joke by suggesting, “I feel like I should be cast on ‘Vikings‘.”
The fun began when the A&E star decided to find out whether members of his family will recognize him in his new look. First to the test was his wife Korie Robertson. After she failed to notice him inside a restaurant, he approached her in the parking lot. “You forgot something…,” he greeted her who was quick to exclaim, “What in the world?!”
A more dramatic reaction came from Willie’s 17-year-old daughter, Bella Robertson. The teenager fell down to the ground with her mouth wide open upon realizing that a man walking past her was her father. His older daughter, 22-year-old Sadie Robertson, was also left in disbelief when he approached her car, prompting her husband Chrisian Huff to ask, “Is that a wig?”
Willie was not the only one sharing the family’s reaction to his makeover. His wife Korie shared a selfie of them and clips from the video on Instagram along with a message that read, “SURPRISE!! @realwilliebosshog shocked us all with a major after-quarantine haircut, ha! We haven’t seen his neck in 15 years.”
“I love this man! He’s cute and he always keeps life interesting,” she praised the Duck Commander CEO. “(swipe through to see all of the reactions. He and @jdowen7 had a blast going all over town to surprise us, ha! He even bought a new shirt so we wouldn’t recognize his clothes. When he goes, he goes all in.)”
