Disney star Sebastián Athié, who died earlier this month, suffered a heart attack while training, according to his manager.
The actor and singer, best known for his role in Disney programme O11CE, died suddenly on 4 July.
Tributes immediately poured in for Athié, who gained fame playing Lorenzo Guevara in the Argentine teen television series which aired on Disney Channel Latin America, known in the UK & Ireland as Disney 11.
Now, following the news, his manager Cristina Chaparro has shared an official statement from Athié’s family.
Sharing a photo to Instagram of the star, she wrote (translated to English): ‘I share this post at the request of @sebastian_athie’s family, as they have no chance to do so on their official profile’.
The statement read: ‘We officially communicate that Sebastián died from a heart attack that occurred during one of his outdoor training sessions, on July 4.
‘He was in excellent health and we are devastated by this terrible event.

‘Sebastian loved his job, and was always preparing and training to give his best.
‘We want to deeply thank the numerous samples of affection that we are receiving in these difficult moments.’
Athié’s rep Joe Miguel Gil previously told People the star died of a sudden heart attack.
A statement at the time read: ‘[The family] is very grateful for all the signs of affection from everyone, they also ask for some privacy and respect in these tough moments.’
The Mexican actor’s death was confirmed last weekend by the National Association of Interpreters of Mexico.
A statement read: ‘The Board of Directors and the ANDI Surveillance Committee communicate the sensitive death of the interpreter Sebastián Athié. ‘Our deepest condolences to his family and friends.
‘At the moment the causes of death are unknown.’
Also confirming the news, the social media accounts of both Disney XD and Disney Channel Latin America, as well as Disney Radio Brasil, shared a statement following the actor’s death.
Writing on its official accounts translated to English, a statement read: ‘Rest in peace, Sebas. Your art and your smile stay forever.
‘We regret the departure of Sebastián Athié and we will always remember him for his talent, companionship, professionalism and above all, enormous heart.
‘We accompany his family, friends and fans in his farewell.’
Chaparro also shared Disney’s statement to social media, along with the caption: ‘Absolute sadness.’
