It’s been revealed that Strictly’s Danny John-Jules was previously involved in an altercation in which he brandished “a samurai sword” at two bin men because they “wouldn’t empty his recycling bin.”
In 2008, Danny was arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm to father-and-son bin collectors Jan and Jaroslaw Lisiecki outside his family home in Kensal Rise, North London.
A judge at Brent Magistrates Court heard how Danny swore and spat at the Lisieckis.
The court was told how Danny kicked both the bin and Jaroslaw’s leg, then punched his son and spat in his face.
Describing the attack in court, Jaroslaw said: "He kept saying: ‘You need to take this bin away.’ He got more upset. He spat at me in my face."
Danny denied assault and was ordered to do 120 hours of community service and pay £350 costs and £75 compensation to each man.
Meanwhile, last night in Strictly, Danny John-Jules was awkwardly told off by Strictly Come Dancing judges for being "too tough" with partner Amy Dowden and was warned he needed to "chill out".
Earlier this week, the Daily Mirror exclusively revealed how his dance partner Amy fled training in tears after a massive row.
And the judges appeared to address the issue while criticising their dance.
Bruno Tonioli told the Red Dwarf actor: "You have to be really careful. You can’t be too touch and staccato…you can’t push her."
While Craig Revel Horwood said of their Samba: "It’s too tough. There’s too much energy."
Craig then advised Danny to chill out and calm down in his routines if he makes it through to next week.
Danny and Amy were then awarded a score of 27 for their Latin number leaving them floundering at the bottom of the leaderboard.
It comes after a difficult week for the couple who became embroiled in the latest Strictly scandal.
Danny appeared to suggest the BBC are bullying him after a string of stories emerged portraying the actor as a hot head who constantly rows with his partner.
Amy denied he reduced her to tears by bullying her, insisting: “He’s been nothing but lovely.”
Amy, 27, said of the Red Dwarf star, 58: “Things did get a little intense the other day in rehearsals. Do you know what? We took a half-hour break and then got straight to it. I never felt bullied or threatened by Danny.”
“He thanks me every weekend and so does his partner Petula.
“I think we have a family relationship and Petula says she sees me as part of the family.”
