Close Call: Jedediah Reveals She Escaped Death During 'Horrific' 9/11 Terror Attacks

Former View host Jedediah Bila narrowly escaped death during the September 11 terrorist attacks, has exclusively learned.

The conservative talk show host opened up about the terrifying experience in her new memoir, #DoNotDisturb, out today. Bila, 39, revealed that she was supposed to be in one of the Twin Towers in New York City on the morning of September 11 for work. But luckily, she “completely missed” her boss’s memo, she said.

It wasn’t until after Bila got home that night she Bila learned her boss “had been frantic all day,” said the former TV host.

“He had thought I’d been in the towers,” she continued in the book.

Bila said the message directing her to go to the Twin Towers that morning had been placed in a manila envelope on her work chair. Upon her arrival to work, Bila “tossed” her bag over the envelope to pick up her phone. Then, she heard the first “big boom” of a plane crashing through the first tower.

“I was startled, fixated, confused,” Bila wrote. “Then my instinct to flee kicked in. I ran. As I ran, I tried to call my mother on my cell phone but couldn’t get through. Then my dad. Nothing. Then my best friend. The lines were dead.”

Bila said she lived in “total shock” as she fled through the streets along with hundreds of New Yorkers.

“Panicked conversations could be overheard, intertwined with the sounds of police sirens, people crying, the staccato click of shoes on pavement, and the brush of bags as people bumped into each other, apologized hurriedly, then continued on,” Bila wrote. “I had no idea where to go, how to get out of Manhattan.”

The former FOX News commentator said she watched as the first Twin Tower crashed and “crumbled to the ground.”

Hours later, Bila made it home and was able to contact her family. She said looking back at the horrific tragedy makes her question what would have happened if she did not miss her boss’s message to go to the North Tower.

“When it comes to my life and how that day unfolded for me, the memo that I missed is something I can’t help but think about,” Bila wrote.

As Radar readers know, Bila was axed from The View in 2017 after making controversial remarks about Hillary Clinton.

Bila revealed in her book that she is still “painfully sad” about the 9/11 tragedies.

“Like everyone in the city, I was shaken,” she wrote.
