Charley Webb, 32, has revealed her nanny has said it was more calm growing up in her house with 11 siblings, than it is at their home where she now works, with the former after admitting her children are “feral”. The Emmerdale star said it can be tough going in their household at times as her three young boys want to cause “chaos”, and can end up “scrapping”.
My kids are feral
Charley revealed: “Our house is just chaos. My house is real and my kids are feral. A lot of people have kids that will just sit and play.
“But our kids are not interested in that, they just want to cause chaos.
“Our nanny is one of 12, and she said her house with 12 was less chaotic than ours!
“That said, though, our house is also a lot of fun,” she added to this week’s OK! Magazine.
The actress and her husband Matthew Wolfenden are parents to Buster, 10, Bowie, four, and Ace, one.
Charley recently opened up about juggling looking after the children in lockdown with her recent return to the ITV soap, as she played a game of Truth or False with her 486,000 followers on Instagram.
She admitted that homeschooling alongside professional commitments had been “extremely stressful”, after one fan asked if it was true she enjoyed teaching her children at home.
Charley typed back: “False, I absolutely do NOT love homeschooling.
“I like the structure it gives the kids but I also find it extremely stressful at times,” she added.
A separate fan questioned if she would be returning to Emmerdale permanently, after appearing in the soap for 18 years and taking maternity leave last year.
“So many of you have asked this,” she said.
Leaving her followers guessing, Charley further teased: “You’ll have to wait and see.”

Love blossomed between Charley and fellow actor Matthew when they met on the set of the soap 14 years ago.
Charley joined the long-running show in 2002 as a teenager, playing the role of Cain and Charity’s estranged daughter Debbie Dingle.
Matthew was cast in the role of Eric Pollard’s son David Metcalfe four years later in 2006.
She revealed to The Sun that she doesn’t let her kids watch her character’s racy antics on screen.
“As the kids are young, I don’t let the kids watch it really so I’ll have to catch up a few days later.
“Bowie’s still a bit young to understand so we never have it on when they’re around,” she admitted.
Speaking on how she and Matthew balance their commitments on Emmerdale with being parents, Charley admitted they do not film scenes at the same time.
She continued: “I think to be honest when we’re filming, we’re separate. So it kind of works that when he’s filming, I’m not.”
