Caroline Flack's former boyfriend Lewis Burton has been photographed hugging a mystery woman.

The 28 year old was spotted wearing a grey and white striped long sleeve shirt alongside a pair of navy shorts, white trainers and a blue cap as he stepped out into the British sunshine after lunching inside Mayfair's Sexy Fish restaurant on Thursday.

The tennis coach appeared stagnant as he leaned in to hug the unidentifiable blonde woman, who was dressed in an oversized white shirt dress alongside some strappy wedge heels.

Lewis's outing comes weeks after it was claimed he has been “growing close” to One Direction star Louis Tomlinson’s sister Lottie.

The model is said to have found a “friendship” with Lottie, 21, five months after the tragic death of Love Island presenter Caroline.

The former tennis pro was reportedly seen “arriving at his flat” with Lottie and “appeared to be holding hands”.

A source told Mail Online: “They have been meeting up in secret for weeks but their newfound friendship hasn't gone unnoticed by mutual pals.

“Not all of Caroline's friends are happy with how the situation appears to be developing but can understand that both Lottie and Lewis have been there for each other as a shoulder to cry on.

“Lewis spent last week in Marbella while Lottie was in St Tropez the weekend previous, they couldn't wait to be reunited with each other on Friday.”

It comes months after Caroline, who’s mother hit out at the CPS for claiming it wasn't “right” to press charges against her daughter, tragically took her own life in a flat in London after she was arrested for assault by beating last year.

An inquest into the star's death heard that Caroline told officers she “whacked” boyfriend Lewis but didn't mean to cause him harm.

She told an officer at the scene: "I did it. I whacked him round the head.

"I admit I did it. I used the phone. I had his phone in one hand and mine in the other.

"I whacked him round the head. There was no excuse for it. I was just upset. I admit I did it."

The inquest heard that in interview, Caroline said she “flicked” Lewis in a bid to wake him up.

She thought she might have dropped the phone on his head but she did not believe she caused the injury and she did not know how it had happened.

Detective Inspector Lauren Bateman, of the Metropolitan Police, said: "It sounded like she was saying it was an accident, not an assault."

The court heard that in her interview with police, Caroline said: "I admit I did it. I never hit him over the head. It was a sideways hit.

"He was never hit over the head. It was reckless. I whacked him. It wasn't aggressive. The whole thing feels very blurry.''

The court heard that Caroline said she felt "horrible" when she saw the blood. She had not wanted to hurt him. That was not her intention.
