Sources have claimed Adele, 33, and her family are “upset” by the death of her estranged father Mark Evans. In 2013, he revealed he had been battling bowel cancer, although it’s not been confirmed if this is his cause of death.

The pair are said to have had a fractured relationship after he left her mum when the singer was just three years old.

Tonight, a source told The Sun: “Mark’s family are of course very upset by his passing.

“He always hoped things would work out with Adele, but it remained acrimonious to the end.

“He made a few attempts to make things right, but clearly it had been too long.”

Express.co.uk has contacted a representative for Adele for comment.
