Katie Price ‘pulled over by police as her children Bunny and Jett were not wearing seat belts… just one week after driving ban was lifted’
Katie Price has reportedly been pulled over by police, just one week after her driving ban was lifted.
A source told The Sun that the reality star, 41, was ‘mortified’ to be stopped with boyfriend Kris Boyson, 30, as her two youngest children Jett, five, and Bunny, four, did not have a seat belt or car seat.
Katie’s outing came after she was banned from driving for three months in February after she was found in a ‘very’ drunken state in her pink Range Rover.
Awkward! Katie Price has reportedly been pulled over by police, just one week after her driving ban was lifted, because two of her children did not have seat belts
The source said: ‘Katie was stopped by police in Horsham, near her house, on Sunday early evening.
‘Cops spotted that Bunny and Jett, who were in the back of the pink Range Rover, weren’t strapped in or in car seats, and pulled her over.
‘She was mortified and so was Kris, who was also in the car.’
MailOnline has contacted representatives for Katie Price and West Sussex Police for comment.
Controversial: A source claimed that the reality star was stopped as her two youngest children Jett, five, and Bunny, four, did not have seat belts or car seats
Katie was banned from driving for three months in February and fined £1,500 after being found slumped in a ‘very’ drunken state in the back of her vomit-covered pink Range Rover.
The reality star was almost twice the legal limit after drinking four pornstar martinis when she was arrested in the early hours last October in Greenwich, South East London.
Despite this, the star brazenly vowed to buy a new car as she spoke outside Bexley Magistrates’ Court, saying: ‘I was given a choice of having 10 points on my licence or to be disqualified for three months.
‘I chose to be disqualified for three months because it adds on to my disqualification that I’m already on, which means I get my driving licence back on the 24th of May which means I can go car shopping – let’s ban the pink car.’
Close: Katie was also reportedly in the car with boyfriend Kris Boyson, leading to further embarrassment
She was said to have climbed into the back seat of her 4×4 to avoid being caught as the driver last year – but had bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and smelled of alcohol.
The mother-of-five allegedly repeatedly denied she had been driving and claimed the driver was her boyfriend Kris Boyson’s friend – and anyone was insured to drive her car if they were aged over 30.
Katie also told the court she was wearing a hoodie, socks and trainers, but no pants, when she was arrested. The reality star said: ‘It was an oversized hoodie but I wore it as a dress’.
Difficult: Katie was banned from driving for three months in February and fined £1,500 after being found slumped in a ‘very’ drunken state in the back of her pink Range Rover
During court, Katie was cleared of drink driving after the judge said there was no case to answer, because there was no evidence of who had been driving the Range Rover before police arrived.
She was convicted of being nearly twice the legal limit while in charge of the vehicle.
Along with costs and a victim surcharge, her total bill for the offence came to £2,425.
Katie had claimed she was not in control of the car and a mystery man had driven it, but Judge Nigel Dean found she was not a ‘plausible’ or ‘credible’ witness.
